I started by taking once inch sections of hair and then wrapped around a medium barrel curling tong. Once heated I wrapped around my fingers and secured into place using a section clip. I continued to do this from front to back, following the natural parting of the hair.

Hair is then misted with Elnett hairspray and left to cool until the hair is set in place. Once cool I removed all the section clips and misted with hairspray. Using a little Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel I dressed out the curls by shaking the hair with my finger tips at the root area. Then individually shook out each curl to give it some added body.

Mode 2 has enjoyed popularity and influence within graffiti culture since his teens – a status sealed by his inclusion in MOCA gallery’s landmark 2011 exhibition Art in the Streets. Stockings is the final part in a series of six hand-painted screen prints that seduce on their own, or hung together. Our annual stock take has triggered the discovery of the final few numbers from several superb editions, some of which we can make available this week. Space Vibes (Red) by Invader is a quintessential print by the Parisian street art favourite. We have only two prints remaining. Liquidated Hammer & Sickle (Some Prints are More Equal than Others), by fellow French high-end vandal Zevs, is made entirely from red and gold glitter on top of a two-colour screen print. Three prints are available.

Varied editions ‘Boof-Fonty’ and ‘Hangar 12′ are quintessential works from BÄST, the New Yorker noted for his work with collective Faile and fashion designer Marc Jacobs. A paste-up graffiti artist synonymous with his native NY, while visiting the UK BÄST created several screen print editions inspired by London. Each giant screen print from the ‘Boof-Fonty’ and ‘Hangar 12’ varied editions comes uniquely hand-finished by BÄST using stencils, spray paint and emulsion at The Outsiders’ dedicated Execution Dock studio (see photos of him at work on them at The Outsiders News). ‘Boof-Fonty’ takes the mid-80s sloane ranger lifestyle embodied by the young Princess Diana for its stimulation. ‘Hangar 12’ meanwhile features a Flying Fortress bomber, twenty of which were donated to the Royal Air Force by the Amercian government in the early months of World War Two.

Both ‘Boof-Fonty’ and ‘Hangar 12′ by BÄST will be on sale from 16:00 GMT (that’s 08:00 on the west coast of the USA, 11:00 on the east coast and 17:00 on continental Europe) on Thursday 15th March 2012 at The Outsiders shop.

Irish artist Conor Harrington’s exemplary exhibition Dead Meat – now showing at Lazarides Gallery (above) – has met with universal acclaim. The Outsiders online shop currently offers Conor’s print editions Where the Sun Does Shine and Holy Smoke. The two prints demonstrate Conor’s development as an artist: from his early examinations of contemporary manhood, to his depictions of military re-enactment enthusiasts that evolved into the prodigious period pomp of ‘Dead Meat’ itself. The spectacular show runs until April 12th and gallery details are below.

So ln keeping all this I decided it would be an idea to create a uniform look that at first glance you wouldn’t be sure wether it was a piece of fabric or a mask rather than hair given the feeling that they all belonged to the same tribe/gang.

To do this we used coloured acrylic wigs that had a black base(Yellow, Henna Red and Lilac).
Using this type of wig gave us the hi shine and almost a metalic feel hence fitting into this mask/helmet type feeling! And by concealing the face added to the air of mystery.

We tucked the hair into the shirts closing the collars around them, and wrapped hair around the neck on t shirt.

Look 1
First the wigs were steamed to smooth any fly a ways, Blunt square. Fringes were cut into some of the wigs to expose the face and create the helmet. We spilt the hair at the back, ensuring that the wigs were smooth and wrapped them around the chin on either side, we then secured with pins and elastic.

Look 2
First the wigs were steamed to smooth any fly a ways. Hair was brushed forward to conceal the face, the hair was split at the back and wrapped around the front and was secured and pinned as before. We wanted to expose the face so we split sections to reveal parts of the face.

Martine’s collection really made me feel a huge nod to skinhead/suedehead meets tribal!! I really love her reworking of the ma1 bomber jackets and her use of the patches and also her prints on some of her shirts which were a bit tribal!
